Danville Art League
Scholarships are available for students (student and adult) in need of financial aid for Danville Art League classes. To apply download our scholarship form. You can also call the Art League and we will be happy to mail a form to you.
Please call (217) 442-9264 to register, and leave your name, address, phone number, and e-mail. Registration and payment must be made a week before the class. You may pay in person during open hours or mail your payment to Danville Art League, P.O. Box 772, Danville, IL 61834. Online payment is not available for classes at this time.
Children’s winter classes will begin soon. The kids love doing the art projects and all art supplies

Classes will begin Wednesday, January 11 at 4:00 p.m. and will run for 8 weeks, until March 1.
Cost for the 8 weeks is $50.
The Late Bloomers class is for anyone interested in art. The class is especially for retired people who want to learn about and do art. This class is for you if you have always wanted to be an artist, but just didn’t know how to get started. Also, questions are welcome!
Classes are held on Tuesday from 1:30 to 3:30 pm.
Cost is $60 for eight weeks. All supplies are provided.
Needle Felting Workshop:
Teresa Campbell will be the instructor for a felt workshop on Saturday, January 28 from 9 a.m. to
Teresa has been a needle felting artist since her first project in 2007. It’s one of many art mediums she enjoys.
Needle felting is the art of binding wool fibers to create new shapes and textures. In her class you’ll
learn the origin of “felt,” differences in fibers, needles to use and other types of felting. You’ll make a
heart shaped felted Valentine that you can decorate to your liking.
Kits with all supplies are provided.
Class size is limited to 15 students.
Cost is $30, plus a $10 kit fee -which is yours to keep.
Alcohol Ink Workshop:
Bonnie Bodensteiner will instruct an Alcohol Ink workshop on Saturday, February 11 from
10 a.m until 4 p.m. at the Danville Art League.
We will have a pot luck lunch. Meat will be provided. Please bring something to share.
The workshop includes the use of alcohol inks on many different non-porous surfaces. Participants
will need to bring a mask (rubbing alcohol used), tight fitting rubber gloves and an apron. The class is limited to 12 participants.
Class fee is $50 for members and $55 for non-members.
